Encounter Science productions

Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Encounter Science productions provides unique science experiences that help students stimulate cognitive development in the early learning processes of critical thinking.

Our goal is to assist in interventive thinking and problem solving skills that will be essential for success in future science disciplines.

This generation of students will provide the answers and technology needed to answer many scientific questions in our natural world. We want to be a part of this process by providing a variety of creative ways that enhance their learning experience.

With 34 years of experience, Eric Hickman has taught critical thinking skills to grades 7-12 in the fields of life science, physical science, and earth science. He was Teacher of the Year for four different schools, and has completed many professional development courses in critical thinking strategies.

He's taught project learning, STEM labs, interactive computer labs, and hands-on learning, and his students scored above-average on critical thinking questions after engaging in real-life science questions, many finding success in higher level science classes.

Eric has taught diverse groups of students, including students of various economic backgrounds, racial identities, learning styles and cognitive abilities.
